Sugarcane grinding season is here, and Raceland Raw Sugars, like many other sugar mills in southern Louisiana is grinding cane, taking delivery by truck several times per day.
However, this scene on Saturday is probably not how this cane was supposed to be delivered.
Raceland is about 35 miles west-southwest of New Orleans along the former US Highway 90.
Raceland is in Lafourche Parish along Bayou Lafourche, a big sugarcane growing area.
